The journey I take from monday to friday.
The method behind an illustration like this involves finding a central theme. Once I have pinpointed the main focal point, I spread out from this. Traditional mark making, graphical devices and vector illustrations which have been pathed from primary sources.
The idea of this piece was to depict the city of Nottingham through chaotic shapes. Symmetry is a real soft spot of mine - as we move towards and away from this, people disipate and I am welcomed once again by the quiet, lush surroundings of the countryside. The people with highlighted heads represent those I come in contact with, mainly my students. I am constantly in a creative environment which is also reflected at the heart of the ilustration.
